About Madinet Masr for Housing & Development
Founded in 1959, Madinet Masr is among the longest-established property developers in Egypt, having sold 27,116 homes across 29 projects and holding a land bank of roughly 12.8 million sqm that the company intends as a home for some 32,000 families.
Sixty-seven years of continuous work in the Egyptian market, and communities you can visit and walk through before you choose a home.
The company began as Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development, built the Unknown Soldier Memorial in 1975 and joined the Egyptian Exchange in 1996. In 2012 it moved into integrated-community development with the launch of Taj City, and in 2017 it opened Sarai in the heart of New Cairo. In 2021 it acquired Minka Developments and Eng. Abdallah Sallam became chief executive and managing director, and in 2023 the business relaunched its brand as Madinet Masr.
For a buyer today that history has a practical meaning: Sarai and Taj City are established communities with completed phases, residents in place, and streets and amenities in service that you can see for yourself before deciding.
The group has also built services around the home itself — a finishing arm that hands the property over ready to live in, Touba and Theqa for payment and maintenance-deposit solutions, and SAFE for fractional property investment.
